EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of hands on DBA Experience

The Candidates should possess the following:

Requirements:
  • Experience with SQL Tuning is a must-ability to Review and Tune the PL/SQL Code to optimize and thus ensure optimum performance.
  • Ability to guide the development team for performance tuning.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Administration .
  • Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases including server configuration.
  • Experience with Solaris,Unix or Linux in a multi-domain environment including basic commands and shell scripting.
  • Design, development and administration of Oracle databases.
  • Oracle Recovery Manager, Import/Export (and DataPump Utility), SQL*Loader
  • Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments.
  • Installing Oracle patches, up-gradation to higher version and database migration (SQLServer to Oracle .etc.)
  • Designing database packages and procedures.
  • Security and access control.
  • Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications
  • Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines
  • Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments.
  • Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements.
  • Writing / Tuning data procedures using PL/SQL, SQL Loader, third party tools Eg: Toad, PL/SQL  Developer etc.
  • Knowledge of data normalization and using data models to design database. used any specific tools for data model
  • 24/7 support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by  our business systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g with production support
  • Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools.
  • Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities:
  • Be able to self-organize and work effectively within a small team with minimal supervision
  • Bring a broad skill set utilizing disparate technologies and best practices to the team
  • Be highly adaptable and able to quickly ramp-up on emerging technologies, industry practices and processes
